THE JOB:

As a Banquet Server, you will play a key role in shaping the guest experience with your warm welcome and attentive service. By understanding each guest’s unique preferences and needs, you will take ownership of their experience, creating WOW memories that will leave a lasting impression well beyond their stay with us.

THE STARTING PAY RATE: $14.1744 / Per Hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Guide Guests: Assist guests throughout their experience at the banquet event, ensuring their needs are met at every stage
• Maintain Cleanliness: Monitor and uphold the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of your assigned work areas
• Service Knowledge: Be well-versed in the service requirements for assigned functions, including pre-function tasks, detailed menu items, major ingredients, appearance, texture, quality standards, garnishes, presentation methods, and proper food and beverage service
• Guest Reception: Welcome guests upon arrival and help with seating arrangements
• Table Management: Set up, monitor, refresh, and break down coffee breaks, receptions, and buffet tables according to the specific needs of each group
• Follow Procedures: Adhere to the standardized procedures established by the Banquet Management Team for each event
• Anticipate Needs: Proactively anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to ensure a positive experience

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be able to lift and high carry a minimum of 50 pounds
• Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Food Handler’s card and Alcohol Awareness card
• Nevada State Non-Gaming Registration
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• One (1) year of previous banquet server experience in a similar resort setting
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Able to multi-task several activities and duties simultaneously
• Able to work well with people, in a team environment
• Capable of standing and walking for a majority of the shift
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
