PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Casino Host is an entry-level position that is the first point of contact for customer services. The Casino Host will use appropriate judgment to execute casino customer request.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports MGM Rewards Desk, Front Desk, VIP Host Desk, Host phone line and other various departments
Evaluate customers' casino activity to provide corresponding incentives and may have authorization to approve minimum number of comps and allowances (i.e., room, food, beverage, and/or event tickets
Responsible for maintaining relationships with premium level customers through telemarketing and event marketing with a special focus on cultivating relationships with high end slot customers through new and inactive leads along with booking MGM Air flight guests
Assist in maintaining and developing property's customer base through meeting and interacting with customers
Process customers' reservations by using OPERA & PATRON management systems
Resolve customer disputes and complaints to the satisfaction of the customer and the company
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
One (1) year of customer service experience
PREFERRED:
Two (2) years hotel operations, casino marketing, VIP services or table games
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
Able to work in the fast pace environment
Able to work as a team with co-workers
Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
Demonstrates savvy interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
Shows flexibility in working a variety of shifts
Demonstrates and maintains a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to MGM Resorts International Marketing standards
Able to travel domestically or internationally if necessary to meet existing customer base
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms
