Cocktail Server (UNION) Aria

Aria is seeking a passionate individual to join our team as Cocktail Server! In this role, you'll do more than just take orders - you'll curate moments that linger in the memories of our guests long after they've left our doors. THE JOB:

As a Cocktail Server, you will be responsible for setting the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

THE STARTING PAY RATE: $13.5902 / Per Hour Tips

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Take orders and serve food and drinks efficiently and accurately in work area as applicable
• Place order, and garnish and serve cocktails to guests
• Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections available
• Collect money, while following all proper cash handling and comp procedures
• Answer telephone in service areas and direct calls where necessary
• Knowledge of hotel services, features, local attractions, and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
• Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment to include fold/stack cocktail napkins, stock swizzle sticks, straws, matches, line cocktail trays, stock glassware, restock supply cabinet, inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent
• Currently hold or be able to obtain an Alcohol Awareness card
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• One (1) year of prior relevant experience as a cocktail server
• One (1) year of prior experience in a front-facing guest services position
• Experience working in a high-volume, luxury resort setting
• Has a working knowledge of major wines, liquor brands, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes
• Ability to multi-task, has a strong attention to detail, and is team-oriented
• Impeccable presentation and professionalism
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
