What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Manager - MGM Northfield Park position at MGM Resorts International?
PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Manager of Compliance is responsible for supporting MGM Northfield Park’s initiatives to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies overseeing the property. The Manager of Compliance will oversee the day-to-day administration of the MGM Resorts International (the "Company") Compliance Plan (the “Plan”). This includes assisting, monitoring, and implementing procedures required by the Plan and any other procedures devised by the Compliance Committee (the “Committee”). The Manager of Compliance will ensure all regulatory requirements and company policies are adhered to. This role evaluates and reports the results of compliance/ethics efforts to the VP of Regional Compliance, Vice President and Legal Counsel and the Director of Compliance.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assists the compliance Director with monitoring Company compliance with regulatory agencies (e.g., Ohio Lottery Commission, Ohio Horse Racing Commission, Ohio Casino Control Commission, FinCEN) as well as Company policies and procedures.
• Assists Marketing with promotions and giveaways in the drafting process, submittal process and coordinates approvals, as necessary.
• Maintains detailed records regarding compliance correspondence and departmental requests and ensures follow-up is complete, when necessary.
• Responds promptly to requests for information and other requests by the regulatory agencies and all MGM Resorts departments including those outside of MGM Northfield Park.
• Distributes compliance correspondence to applicable departments.
• Responds effectively to guest inquiries related to Responsible gaming, disputes and all other inquiries as relevant to this position.
• Notifies supervisor, senior management and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
• Manages day-to-day operation of the compliance Program. Compiles and reviews all compliance reports and prepares materials for the Committee prior to Committee meetings.
• Serves as a strategic partner for Corporate Centers of Excellence, Corporate Legal, Corporate Security and Operations Teams to provide compliance expertise, training, and escalation where necessary.
• Reviews all regulatory filings required by the Company and ensures such filings are completed timely to the gaming regulatory authorities.
• Contributes in coordinating and completing the racino license applications and renewals for each regulatory agency overseeing MGM Northfield Park.
• Develops, initiates, maintains, and revises Compliance policies and procedures. Identifies shortfalls and implements corrective action on any identified or reported violations/infractions, as appropriate. • Supports in monitoring compliance with the Code of Conduct and Ethics and Conflict of Interest Policy ("Code"), including annual training. Assists in the preparation, updating, and distribution of compliance policies required by the Code.
• Develop and maintain relationships with representatives from the Ohio Lottery Commission, Ohio Casino Control Commission and Ohio Racing Commission, including attending meetings of these agencies.
