THE STARTING RATE: $20.0529 plus tips
The Day-to-day
- Expedite food from the kitchen to the table as dictated by sequence of service and by the Chef or kitchen expediter
- Describe food upon placement on the table, answering questions pertaining to the dishes
- Communicate with expediter to ensure delivery of food to the correct table and position
- Communicate needs of the guest to kitchen, inform management of guest reaction and comments and assist management to ensure smooth operation and quality service
- Check dining area, tables and chairs for cleanliness, maintain cleanliness and organization of station and service area
- Six months experience in a high-volume dining restaurant as a Food Runner or Food Server
- One year experience fine-dining environment
- Experience in a full-service, three meal restaurant setting
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written forms in English, with the ability to effectively coordinate between the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Experience working in a similar resort or upscale setting
- Ability to work varied shifts with weekend and holiday availability
