THE STARTING RATE: $20.5002
The Day-to-day
- Warmly welcome and promptly greet guests upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and a seamless start to their dining experience.
- Manage incoming phone calls, accurately record reservations, and maintain an organized and up-to-date reservation book.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of daily restaurant operations including scheduled events, in-house groups, occupancy levels, seating configurations, table settings, room capacities, operating hours, pricing, and dress code.
- Serve as a liaison between guests, kitchen staff, and management by communicating guest preferences, feedback, and special requests; support management in delivering smooth and high-quality service.
- Regularly check in with waiting guests to provide updates and reassurance, ensuring they feel acknowledged and informed while awaiting their table.
- Previous customer service experience in a similar role.
- Prior experience as a dining host in a high-volume fine dining environment preferred.
- Flexibility to work an on-call shift including shifts on weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Working knowledge of reservation systems such as: SevenRooms or OpenTable.
