THE JOB :
Ready to take your engineering skills to the next level at The Cosmopolitan? As a Hotel Shop Engineer, you'll be an essential part of our team, maintaining and repairing a wide range of hotel equipment and systems. You'll assist with daily operations, handle hands-on tasks, and provide valuable technical and administrative support to ensure everything runs smoothly. STARTING RATE : $38.79 an hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY :
Maintain & Repair Critical Equipment : Ensure the smooth operation of boilers, compressors, refrigeration systems, generators, and all mechanical equipment powered by steam, electricity, gas, air, diesel, or water.
Inspect & Service Ride Systems : Regularly assess and maintain ride systems and auxiliary equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Diagnose & Troubleshoot Issues : Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues affecting ride systems and auxiliary equipment.
Execute Work Orders Efficiently : Complete assigned tasks promptly to maintain operational efficiency.
Conduct Daily Inspections : Perform routine walk-throughs to identify and address necessary repairs proactively.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE :
Age : 21 years old or older.
Education : High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational experience.
Availability : Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Technical Expertise : Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and building maintenance, including maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
Safety-Oriented : Thorough understanding of OSHA safety standards, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Certifications and Training : Relevant certifications such as EPA Section 608, HVAC certification, or similar credentials demonstrating proficiency in HVAC systems and mechanical repairs.
Physical Ability : Capable of standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lbs as part of daily duties.
