THE JOB:
As a Lead Barista at Starbucks, you’ll take charge of daily operations, ensuring the team runs efficiently in a high-volume and fast-paced environment. You’ll oversee deployment, handle guest interactions, and support your team during busy periods. This role combines operational leadership with hands-on coffee expertise, making it perfect for someone with supervisory experience and a love for the art of coffee.
THE STARTING RATE: $15.9389 plus tips
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Deploy Baristas to key stations and adjust as needed to maintain efficiency.
Address guest concerns, resolve complaints, and handle voids or refunds using the POS system.
Support the bar during peak times, operating equipment like espresso machines, nitro machines, and cold drip brewers.
Pull revenue reports at the start and end of shifts and ensure accurate input.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Foster a collaborative, positive work environment, addressing team challenges and managing strong personalities.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
2 years of experience working in a coffee shop or related environment making hot and cold coffee drinks.
1 year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a coffee shop.
Familiar with espresso machines, cold bar preparation, and specialty drink crafting.
Familiarity with mobile order systems is a plus.
