THE JOB:
As a Master Cook, you'll be the culinary star, preparing delicious dishes based on the Chef's vision. Your warm smile and exceptional service will set the stage for an unforgettable guest experience. By connecting with guests and understanding their unique preferences, you'll craft extraordinary moments that they'll remember long after they leave!
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Food Preparation: Follow prescribed methods for food preparation, cooking, portioning, and garnishing as directed by the Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and Sous Chef. Ensure that all dishes meet the approved standards and maintain consistency.
- Kitchen Management: Set up your workstation according to the guidelines provided by the Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and Sous Chef, and operate your specific station efficiently. Delegate tasks to other team members as instructed and manage inventory and supplies.
- Quality Control: Evaluate the flavor and appearance of cooked food by taste and smell to ensure it meets high-quality standards. Make necessary adjustments to guarantee that every dish is served at its best.
- Food Safety and Compliance: Adhere to occupational health and safety standards, using thermometers to ensure food is stored and held at the correct temperatures. Complete closing tasks as directed by the Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and Sous Chef.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Has a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of cook experience
- Previous cooking experience at a Steakhouse
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills
- Knowledgeable of basic culinary skills
- Works well with a team.
