The Job

The Security Dispatcher serves as the central communication hub for the Security Department, relaying critical information between Security Officers and Management. This role involves managing a multi-line communication center, including handling radio and telephone messages. In addition to clerical duties, Security Dispatchers must make quick, informed decisions, particularly during emergencies, while effectively juggling multiple tasks. A strong grasp of departmental policies and procedures is essential for maintaining smooth operations.

The Day-to-day

• Monitor Security Systems: Keep an eye on cameras, alarms, and access controls to spot and respond quickly to any security concerns.
• Coordinate Security Responses: Direct security officers to handle incidents, emergencies, or requests for help across the property.
• Stay Connected with Security Teams: Communicate constantly with the Global Security Operations Center to stay aligned.
• Use Communication Tools: Operate radios and phones to share important updates with security staff, management, and other departments.
• Keep Detailed Records: Log incidents, emergencies, and activities clearly and accurately for future reference.
• Follow Emergency Protocols: Handle emergencies like fires or medical issues by following procedures and staying in touch with local authorities.
• Work with Outside Agencies: Support police, medical responders, and other agencies during incidents by sharing information and assistance.
• Manage Dispatch Calls: Take calls about security issues or lost items, solve problems quickly, and coordinate with other teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Support Investigations: Help with investigations by finding and sharing video footage or other evidence when needed.
  
  

The Ideal Candidate

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• 1 year of prior Security Dispatcher experience or relevant customer service experience
• Previous security, military or law enforcement experience
