THE JOB:
As the Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for executing strategic sourcing activities for defined category strategies, assisting in developing and growing programs, identifying additional managed spend categories and manage vendor relationships and communications for MGM Resorts International and subsidiary companies. This is hybrid work opportunity.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Strategic Sourcing & Analysis
- Lead sourcing initiatives and optimize spend across MGM Resorts properties.
- Conduct financial, spend, market, and supplier analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and trends.
- Develop and execute vertical sourcing plans for targeted categories.
- Collaboration & Project Management
- Partner with stakeholders to define property requirements and expectations.
- Manage cross-functional teams to ensure successful project launches and compliance.
- Issue and analyze global Request for Proposals (RFPs) to recommend award scenarios based on quality, price, and compliance.
- Contract Negotiation & Implementation
- Negotiate, draft, and execute supplier contracts with Corporate Legal.
- Develop and oversee implementation plans for seamless rollouts and increased compliance.
- Monitor supplier performance and address issues proactively.
- Sustainability & Supplier Diversity
- Build relationships with diverse suppliers to support inclusion goals.
- Identify sustainable alternatives to enhance company initiatives.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Must be based in Las Vegas, Nevada and okay with working a hybrid schedule.
- At least 5 years of procurement experience.
- At least 3 years of strategic sourcing experience is a bonus.
- Strong strategy and contract negotiation skills. Candidate should be familiar with redlining contracts.
