THE STARTING RATE: $20.00 / Per Hour
The Day-to-day
- Coordinate pre-production, production, and post-event activities under the guidance of the Special Events Manager, overseeing tasks such as the installation, placement, and removal of event-related materials (signage, décor, etc.)
- Facilitate communication across properties and departments, using inter-office memos and other correspondence to coordinate tasks and support event execution, while driving process improvements
- Work with vendors to manage event logistics, including coordinating entertainment (e.g., models, emcees, bands, DJs), handling talent fees, contracts, bids, photography, gifts, décor, linen, staff uniforms, and transportation
- Collaborate with Casino Marketing teams, property Special Events teams, and brand marketing and creative services to provide feedback and ensure timely marketing efforts for events
- Support and implement enterprise-wide standards, adhering to the approved efficiencies of the Events Center of Excellence
- Maintain and update the marketing portal with event details, including criteria, schedules, prize structures, and earning criteria
- High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent
- Nevada State Gaming Registration
- Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
- Two (2) years of experience in Guest Experience or Event Planning
- Ability to think creatively and voice ideas that would improve the current processes in place
- Possess excellent working knowledge of PC computer software programs to include but not limited to; Microsoft Office, Outlook, Canva, Amadeus, Adobe
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- Ability to multi-task with excellent organizational skills having particular attention to quality, timeliness, and detail
- Ability to sit for long periods and withstand various activities such as frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching overhead, pulling, and be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
