What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Affordable Housing Project Manager position at MGNY Consulting Corp?
The successful candidate will assume the role of Assistant Project Manager in the Special Projects Unit. This position contributes to the successful management of multiple NYC Housing Lottery projects, including advertisement campaigns, lease-up, and compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to quickly master the knowledge base required to perform this role. They will be a strong communicator, working with Senior Project Managers and their teams to deliver results.
Annual Compensation: $54,600 plus commission
Responsibilities will include:
● Prospect, market, and track potentially eligible applicants.
● Perform Application Document Review.
● Collect required income and asset documentation from the applicants.
● Perform third-party verification of all income and assets utilizing the required forms.
● Conduct interviews with eligible prospects.
● Manage a schedule of weekly eligibility and apartment viewing appointments.
● At times perform on-site walk-throughs of the apartments.
● Maintain proper documentation of the marketing process to demonstrate compliance with NYC Department of
Housing Preservation and Development requirements.
● Interact and coordinate with housing assistance case managers, as well as corresponding agencies such as
NYCHA Section 8, HPD Section 8, and HRA.
● Respond to general questions about the process to either clients, applicants, or potential applicants.
● Prepare rent-stabilized leases and schedule lease signing.
● Interact with landlord-clients.
● Prepare and submit reports to the City agencies and clients.
● Other duties as assigned.

Education
