Requirements

Technician Responsibilities :

• Provide industry leading customer satisfaction. Effectively communicate with customers, vendors, and other employees.
• Diagnose and repair lift trucks, equipment, and other identified products as clearly and specifically requested by the customer, using a laptop computer, experience, manuals, and other industry sources.
• Assess the need for additional repairs or maintenance, and document and communicate findings and potential solutions with supervisor and customer.
• Make repairs accurately and timely with minimum required call-backs or re-work.
• Perform warranty repairs and complete related documents as instructed by the company and the supervisor.
• Deliver new units to customer, completing the customer delivery service checklist and demonstration of truck.
• Note any abuse or damage on delivered or picked up forklifts or other equipment.
• When delivering rental equipment, complete rental contract noting all attachments / accessories on unit - review proper safe operations for units.
• When picking up rental equipment, ensure all accessories are still on unit such as forks, load back rests, LP tanks, etc.
• Perform flatbed inspection before operation, notifying manager of all possible problems.
• Ensure accurate paperwork including bills of lading, documents requiring signatures, noting hour meter readings, LP tanks, forks, etc.
• Follow safe operating procedures for all product and flatbed operation, as well as all company and customer safety policies.
• Thoroughly and neatly document information related to the job and your work.
• Submit documentation in a timely manner, as required by the company, supervisor, and customers.
• Accurately account for all labor hours on work order and daily timecard, and submit as required by management, and accurately account for all parts and supplies on work order tickets, PM sheets, etc.
• Provide the parts, service, and sales departments the needed information to provide the right solutions for the job.
• Ensure tractor and trailer and service van are clean, neat, and well maintained at all times, and maintain cleanliness of equipment, tools, customer facilities, and shop.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of flatbed, including all chains, binder, and tarp.
• Maintain company tools in working order and return them to their proper place in the shop after use.
• Keep up to date with safety and driving laws, new equipment, and advances in diagnostic techniques and repairs.
• Keep supervisor advised of job progress, delays, changes, status, etc.
• Follow all traffic laws, CDL requirements, maintain logbooks, etc.
• Organize and stage equipment in the warehouse.
• Adhere to all Company Policies and Work Rules.
• Active participation in weekly safety calls / meetings and safety program.

Technician Requirements :

Working Conditions : Hours will be 7 : 30 am - 4 : 00 pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime may be required. This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Steel toed work boots are mandatory.
