Summary of Position
Promotes and implements human resource values by planning and managing human resources programs; directing staff.
Essential Roles/Responsibilities
- Develops organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives
- Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations
- Manages human resources operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions; maintaining compensation; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change
- Develops human resources operations financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances
- Accomplishes special project results by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities; communicating and coordinating requirements; expediting fulfillment; evaluating milestone accomplishments; evaluating optional courses of action; changing assumptions and direction
- Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions; analyzing information and applications

- Assist in the bi-weekly preparation, and record keeping, of time cards and submission to accounting department for payroll processing
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelors Degree
Preferred: Masters Degree
Qualifications
Required: 5 years Human Resource Director experience
Preferred: 5-10 years established computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Excellent customer service skills and self-starter; must be flexile enough to work varying shifts as well as possible weekends if and when necessary or required; Human Resource software experience a plus (i.e. background check portal); must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug testing

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Must have ability to work post-office hours and weekends, as dictated by business needs. Must be able to tolerate moderate daily ambient noise levels. Must have transportation to meet shift requirements.
Work Environment
The office is located at the MHA Systems office in Bismarck, North Dakota. Normal working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional hours in the evening and/or weekends may be necessary.
