What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Coordinator position at MHAworks?
MHAworks is currently looking for a versatile marketing coordinator with strong writing and research skills to join our team in Durham, North Carolina. This position will work closely with the Proposal Coordinator to assist in creating proposal responses for request for qualifications (RFQ) or request for proposal (RFP) documents, help maintain databases, conduct necessary project research, and will assist in creating digital and written content for the company website, social media channels, and project interview presentations. The successful candidate must be organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in deadline-driven environments, and enjoy taking a collaborative and creative approach to projects.
QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations, or related field.
- Excellent writing skills, research capabilities, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of AP style.
- Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc..).
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
A PLUS
- Experience managing WordPress or other web creation platforms.
- Photography and photo editing.
- Knowledge of the A/E/C industry or related field.
- SEO knowledge.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Creation of RFQ Proposals & Written Content (60% of the role)
Provide support to the Proposal Coordinator in every aspect of the proposal and interview process. Work with the entire marketing team to help ensure proposal responses are complete, accurate, meet proposal requirements and editorial specifications, and are submitted on time.
- Analyze RFQs and RFPs to understand requirements.
- Work with the Proposal Coordinator and Office Directors to analyze proposal requirements to identify compelling and compliant win and layout strategies.
- Layout, edit, and proofread a variety of proposal types including private sector, municipal, state, and local proposals, technical proposals, qualifications packages, interviews, and presentations for both in-house and external distribution.
- Collaborate with the Proposal Coordinator to ensure customized, written proposal content including cover letters, project descriptions, staff/firm bios, and other relevant written materials.
- Assist in proofreading and editing proposal content to ensure proposals are complete, accurate, free of design errors, and meet editorial requirements.
- Help maintain project and staff information in SharePoint databases.
- Coordinate with subconsultants and specialized consultants.
- Work with internal project managers, technical staff, and marketing staff across the firm to gather content for proposals and marketing initiatives.
- Assist in maintaining, augmenting, and improving the library of reusable components, templates, and processes to reduce response time and improve the quality of future bids.
- Support all post-submission activities such as project closeout, data mining, interview and presentation preparation, and proposal award tracking.
Research (20% of the role)
- Assist the department with researching proposal opportunities and other miscellaneous research projects.
Social Media Content Creation, Website Maintenance, and Photography (20% of the role)
- Lead content development efforts for the company creating content for web posts, social media, and other marketing materials.
- Manage website and social media to maintain updated information regarding news and project updates and SEO.
- Coordinate project photography.
