mote-first role with occasional in-office collaboration (typically 1 day per month) in Burnsville, MN. *Only Minnesota/Twin Cities-based candidates will be considered.
Who we are looking for:
The Financial Planning & Analysis Sr. Associate will be an integral part of our rapidly growing company by providing structure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enabling business leaders to drive growth with key metrics and insights. This role oversees the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic planning for MHC. You will collaborate with senior team members as you help drive all aspects of the financial planning and business decision support cycles. You’ll have the opportunity to become a strategic thought partner to our stakeholders by introducing innovative and scalable ideas as you shape processes and build out the FP&A mentality within the company.
This will be a key position in the group and will be heavily relied upon to ensure accurate financial information is produced and appropriate accounting controls are followed. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to use accounting knowledge and previous experience to add value and assist in meeting the department's objectives while working in a fast-paced, continually changing, and high-growth environment.
What you will get to do:
- Develop comparisons of previous months' actuals, budgets, and forecasts to effectively explain key variances in revenue, margins, and expenses.
- Support people, processes, and systems to achieve successful quarterly, annual, and monthly planning and reporting cycles.
- Communicate results and recommendations to the CFO for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation, and streamlining operations.
- Perform business, financial, and operations analysis to impact top-line and bottom-line results while supporting senior management in resolutions.
- Help build and implement key capabilities in financial planning and reporting.
- Work closely with the CFO to help understand and formulate the business's medium to long-term financial and strategic plan.
- Support the analysis and preparation of business cases to support new investment, strategic, and other business decisions, including organic and inorganic efforts.
- Leverage financial data to create compelling visual narratives that translate financial information into actionable insights for leadership and business stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, P&E, People Team, and other stakeholders.

Education and Qualifications:
- 4 years of business finance experience with 2 years’ experience in FP&A roles.
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion with a high attention to detail.
- A passion for understanding business questions and making data-driven insights.
- Prior experience working within a software company is recommended.
- Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills with financial modeling, data mining, and other finance experiences.
- Prior budgeting and forecasting experience required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel specifically.
- Salesforce and NetSuite experience is a plus.
