Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented PCA Scheduler/Coordinator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing and coordinating schedules for Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs) to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery to our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in scheduling and coordinating PCA/HHA schedules in a healthcare setting, with excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule PCA/HHA staff assignments based on client needs and availability.
- Communicate with clients, caregivers, and the care team to confirm schedules and address any concerns.
- Ensure that all shifts are filled and maintain accurate records of shift changes and staffing availability.
- Maintain detailed documentation of schedules, client preferences, and caregiver assignments.
- Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes, such as cancellations, client requests, or staffing shortages.
- Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new PCA/HHA staff as necessary.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant healthcare regulations.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including answering phones, responding to emails, and assisting with client inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in scheduling or coordinating PCA/HHA schedules is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Proficiency with scheduling software or systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards is a plus.
