Assistant Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for retail management, with a focus on maintaining inventory control and optimizing store performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily store operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Supervise and lead a team of sales associates, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance.
• Oversee inventory control processes, including stock management and replenishment.
• Utilize retail math to analyze sales data and make informed decisions to improve store performance.
• Conduct employee orientation and training programs to ensure staff are well-equipped to provide excellent customer service.
• Participate in the interviewing process for new hires, assessing candidates' qualifications and fit for the team.
• Manage cash register operations, ensuring accurate transactions and adherence to cash handling procedures.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager on payroll management and scheduling of staff shifts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment that aligns with company standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and retail math principles.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers and staff.
• Proficient in cash register operations and basic financial transactions.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of store management.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
