Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including inventory management and merchandising.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct employee orientation and training to ensure staff are well-equipped to perform their duties.
- Oversee shift management, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently during your shift.
- Utilize retail math to analyze sales data and make informed decisions regarding stock levels and promotions.
- Interview potential candidates and participate in the hiring process as needed.
- Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to optimize product offerings and pricing strategies.
- Maintain cash register operations, ensuring accuracy in transactions and cash handling procedures.
- Uphold company policies and procedures while fostering a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in an assistant manager or supervisory role.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and staff.
- Proficiency in retail math for inventory management and sales analysis.
- Excellent phone etiquette for effective communication with customers and vendors.
- Ability to manage shifts effectively, demonstrating strong leadership qualities.
- Experience in interviewing candidates is preferred but not mandatory.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on team collaboration.
