What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Buyer/Planner position at MHI RJ Aviation Inc?
As a Manufacturing Buyer/Planner, here is what you’ll be doing at the core, day to day.
- Ensure the timely acquisition of parts and materials needed to service customer aircraft by planning and forecasting part and material requirements.
- Coordinating acquisition with internal and external suppliers and materials personnel.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Ability to represent the department cross functionally
Here’s what is required to succeed as a Manufacturing Buyer/Planner.
- Typically, 3 years of experience in aviation or material/parts environment or other demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize and coordinate workload within a multiple project setting.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with sales team, owners, outside counsel, and other departments.
- Typically, 1-year experience in inventory planning and procurement
- Training or equivalent experience with an MRP system.
- High Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
- Continuous improvement program experience (preferred).
- Experience with Excel.
