- SAFE CARE TRAUMA THERAPIST
The Trauma Therapist uses a strengths-based approach that provides coaching, reflection, observation and demonstration of strategies during real time parent-child routines and activities in various community settings. The Trauma Therapist partners with the parent / caregiver to facilitate improved parent- child attachment, to promote parental growth and learning, and to create physically and emotionally safe environments where the child is safe from abuse and neglect. In this role, you will receive training in the SafeCare curriculum, which provides support for families in parent-child interactions, health, and safety aspects of healthy parenting.
Minimum qualifications : Associate's degree with LCDC-I OR Bachelor's in a Health and Human Services field of study WITH course work toward obtaining a Master's Degree in Health and Human Services field. Two years' experience working with families in a health and human service field. Spanish-speaking a plus. Prior Trust Based Relationship Intervention (TBRI) training a plus. Licensed as a LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LPC-A, LMFT, LMFT-A, or LCDC a plus.
