Sr Director of Grant Accounting
Are you an experienced leader with a passion for mental health and financial excellence? We’re looking for a Senior Director of Grant Accounting to lead our financial strategy, ensuring the efficient and impactful management of critical funding that drives our mission.
As the Senior Director of Grant Accounting, you will be responsible for providing post award grant management support for grants to all divisions within MHMR. Further, you will overseeing the correct and accurate recording of transactions for federal, state, local, and other grants on the general ledger for MHMR and all component units. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will oversee a team to assist with responsibilities and to ensure transactions are recorded in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), governmental accounting standards board (GASB), the Texas Uniform Grant Management System (UGMS), Uniform Grant Guidance (UGG) standards, and the Single Audit Act (2 CFR 200). This position is responsible for the financial integrity of the balance sheet and income statements, as they relate to grants, for MHMR.
Minimum qualifications :
Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
Ten (10) years of experience in a related field
Five (5) years of director level experience in the field
Substitutions : Bachelor’s degree with an additional two (2) years of director level work experience
