Description
I) Job Purpose
The Data Process Analyst plays a crucial role in implementing MHMR's Data Strategy and Vision, leveraging extensive knowledge of business processes and their interaction with data and analytics. This position coordinates data stewardship across the organization, collaborates with the Data Governance Council to establish uniform management processes, and assists data stewards in applying governance policies. This position will analyze information from multiple sources, resolve conflicts, and identify core user needs. Strong communication, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential to support the enterprise data management strategy.
II) Essential Functions
A) Monitor data state within scope and align with business outcomes, collaborating with data governance council members to understand and implement policy directives.
B) Assist, train, and mentor data stewards in interpreting policy requirements and performing data stewardship activities, participating in data governance council meetings.
C) Facilitate work sessions with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, connecting business processes with data flow and creating process workflows for current and future states.
D) Produce formal documentation, including requirements documents and workflows, making recommendations for optimizations in data collection, quality, and process streamlining.
E) Coordinate testing and sign-off for data deliverables, developing an in-depth understanding of data assets, resources, and tools.
F) Provide training and support on agency data tools, assisting with data literacy initiatives and partnering with management to develop performance metrics reports.
G) Build effective relationships across the organization, including business stakeholders, colleagues, contractors, vendors, and consultants.
H) Demonstrate ability to handle stress and pressure associated with deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.

III) Knowledge of Laws, Regulations, Policies / Procedures, Skills, and Abilities
A) Awareness of security, privacy, ethics, and quality requirements for critical data entities, including HIPAA, FERPA, GAAP, DSHS, TAC, HHSC, CARF, CCBHC standards, and other applicable agency standards for MHMR Tarrant services.
B) Knowledge of key agency business processes and understanding of data usage and its impact on desired outcomes.
C) Project management skills to lead data quality, retention, privacy, and improvement initiatives.
D) Comprehensive understanding of data's importance and impact on business objectives.
E) Ability to maintain visibility and respect across all organizational levels.

IV) Internal & External Customer Service
A) This position requires extensive internal and external contacts. The employee will accomplish this with advanced written and verbal skills.
B) Must demonstrate compassion, trauma-informed care, and safety practices including suicide safe care.
V) Travel
A) Adhere to MHMR Mileage and Travel reimbursement policy and any other aspect regarding travel.
B) This position requires occasional overnight travel, up to 15% annually and local travel of up to 25% in personal vehicle.
VI) Equipment Used
A) Utilized as required for position.

A) Minimum Education : Bachelor's Degree
B) Defined Education : Technology, Business, Human Services, or Healthcare
C) Preferences : None
D) Substitutions : Associate Degree and four (4) years' experience; High School Diploma / GED and six (6) years' experience
E) Years' Experience : Two (2) years
F) Defined Experience : Data Management, Healthcare, or a related field
G) License / Certifications : None
H) Special Courses : None
I) Supervisory Experience : None
VIII) Agency Requirements
A) All staff are required to participate in agency Emergency Preparedness and Environmental Safety programs and may be assigned by their department as a key / essential staff level function during critical events or for the purpose of sustaining business continuity.
B) This position may require temporary or permanent re-assignment to any MHMR Tarrant facility as determined by program needs and / or the Division / Director.
C) Assigned work hours may change as the needs of the agency change.
D) The Functional Title of this position may change as the needs of the agency change.
E) All work will be completed within the scheduled work hours. All non-exempt (hourly) employees are expected to clock in and clock out for each work shift, no work should be done off the clock.
F) MHMR reserves the right to change, add to or eliminate positions as it deems appropriate.
G) Employment is at will, as well as agency needs may change.
H) Agency dress code is to be followed at all times.
I) Physical on-site presence, including regular attendance and punctuality, is an essential function of this position. Any changes or adjustments to your assigned work schedule or shift hours must be approved by your supervisor in advance.
