Job Summary
Oversees and administers key evaluation platforms, data management, and provides operational support to staff. This position advances areas related to data collection platforms, data management, data analysis, reporting, and secondary research. The Director of Quality Assurance will also provide helpdesk support to staff. All work is driven by MHP Salud’s Strategic Plan, policies, mission, vision, goals, and other key planning documents.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Establish and achieve divisional goals collaboratively, grounded in the Strategic Plan, research, metrics, and trends.
- Lead key Strategic Plan tasks and ensure divisional efforts align seamlessly with organizational priorities, such as the marketing plan, annual budget, and leadership objectives.
- Inform the CEO and leadership of organizational issues requiring high-level solutions and provide regular updates to key internal stakeholders.
- Explore and recommend innovations to address changes or emerging trends.
Program Integration & Support
- Facilitate effective communication of key information both internally and externally to enhance the organization’s mission and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure efficient integration and non-duplication of effort in achieving organizational goals.
- Participate in the development of innovative program delivery approaches and assist in crafting implementation strategies to address emerging trends.
Data Collection & Evaluation
- Design and develop data measurement instruments, including pre-post tests, program forms, indices, and interview guides.
- Lead the implementation of frameworks to measure the long-term impact of programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Conduct research and delegate data management and analysis tasks as appropriate, providing actionable recommendations based on findings.
- Oversee data quality assurance processes, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and validity throughout the evaluation lifecycle.
- Regularly assess evaluation activities for alignment with organizational strategies, suggesting adjustments as necessary.
Capacity Building & Training
- Provide coaching, training, and ongoing support to staff to ensure understanding of data collection processes and program outcomes.
- Orient new employees to data collection responsibilities and quality assurance protocols.
- Collaborate with programming and evaluation teams to address data collection challenges and ensure program evaluation progresses as planned.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Produce detailed reports, including organizational summaries, project closeout reports, and ROI analyses.
- Utilize advanced data visualization tools to communicate findings effectively to non-technical audiences.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and methodologies in evaluation and integrate relevant tools into the organization’s practices.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Develop and enforce protocols for data security, integrity, and quality assurance across all evaluation systems.
- Identify potential risks in data management processes and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Representation & Advocacy
- Represent the organization at national conferences, webinars, and other venues to present evaluation results and organizational achievements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in related field required, PhD a plus.
- Minimum three (3) years management experience required.
- At least four (4) years of experience in program evaluation, research, or related area.
- Must pass a background screen, including local, state, and federal law check, employment reference check, DMV check, and criminal records check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Reads and writes in Spanish and English.
- Bicultural experience preferred.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively lead, organize, and direct the work of others.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement short and long-range objectives.
- Proven ability to make recommendations on various topics, detailed, controversial, simple, or complex.
- Ability to relate to a wide variety of people and to observe, listen, motivate, and provide leadership.
- Excellent skills in data visualization, interpretation, report writing and presentations.
- Advanced knowledge of Tableau, Microsoft SQL, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of research and evaluation methodologies.
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent activities, work under pressure, and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Understand the foundations of program evaluation in a community-based setting.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in spreadsheet, database, presentation, and Word processing software.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance required on a vehicle used for work purposes (employee must be listed on insurance).
