Human Resources Manager - Remote

One position in Texas, Florida, or Michigan.

Job Summary:
The Human Resources Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the success of MHP Salud by overseeing all aspects of the HR function, including employee relations, organizational development, training, talent recruitment, performance management, and compensation and benefits. This hands-on position ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws while fostering a high-performance, employee-oriented culture built on empowerment, quality, productivity, and continuous development.

As a strategic partner to the Senior Leadership Team, the Human Resources Manager is instrumental in aligning HR strategies with organizational goals, building a superior workforce, and ensuring an environment of equity, engagement, and opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to integrate HR strategies and initiatives into the organizational framework.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on diversity, workforce development, organizational challenges, and business issues impacting the organization.
  • Develop and implement a strategic organizational development plan, including succession planning, leadership development, change management, and cultural transformation.

Human Resources Operations

  • Oversee the design, development, and execution of HR policies, procedures, and programs, including talent acquisition, payroll, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Lead all recruitment efforts, including job posting, candidate evaluation, interviews, offer extensions, and onboarding processes.
  • Manage payroll administration to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
  • Direct and maintain performance management systems, including job descriptions, performance standards, and evaluation tools.
  • Develop and oversee competitive, market-based compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Advise leaders on HR policies and practices, providing guidance on employee relations, disciplinary actions, and terminations while minimizing legal risk.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel on HR-related matters, including employee claims, harassment, discrimination, and workers' compensation.

Employee Relations and Engagement

  • Cultivate a positive workplace culture by addressing employee concerns and fostering engagement and satisfaction.
  • Handle complex employee relations issues with professionalism, fairness, and a focus on resolution.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, customer service, and collaboration across the organization.

Training and Development

  • Design and implement organizational training programs to support employee growth and leadership development.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • A minimum of five years of human resource management experience.
  • Reads, writes and speaks in Spanish and English fluently.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or similar certification.
  • Ability to facilitate professional training and educational sessions in both Spanish and English
  • Ability to build trust and maintain strong relationships with employees and leaders across all levels of the organization.
  • Expertise in resolving complex HR issues and implementing proactive solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, trends, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience utilizing equipment (such as phone, laptop, tablet) to complete required job functions.
  • Experience utilizing software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable learning new software required for the position.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance required on vehicle used for work purposes (employee must be listed on insurance).

Preferred:

  • Prior payroll and benefits management experience.

  • In addition to 12 paid holidays, employees receive 80 hours of vacation annually, with increases at years 3, 6, and 11: 120 hours at year 3, 160 hours at year 6, and 200 hours at year 11. Sick time can accrue up to 240 hours.
