Job Title: Financial Analyst
Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst will assist the MHT Housing real estate development team and Asset Management team with the execution of affordable housing projects. This entry-level role is designed to provide support throughout all phases of the development process, including site acquisition, project feasibility analysis, financial modeling, and asset management.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform detailed financial analysis and modeling to support the company’s strategic initiatives, including profitability, cost control, and forecasting.
· Investigate and explain variances between actual and forecasted financial results for the construction of multi-family developments.
· Assist with financial analysis and underwriting for various real estate projects.
· Assist with assembling and reviewing project budgets, proformas, and cash flow models.
· Evaluate property financial income and expense, project costs, and financing.
· Coordinate with architects, contractors, development team, and other consultants throughout the project’s lifecycle.
· Assist with project construction management and portfolio management throughout the project’s lifecycle.
· Maintain and gather data to prepare and update reports related to the projects
· Assist with due diligence needed to meet requirements of various lenders, syndicators, municipalities, and others as needed.
· Assist as needed from project inception through project completion.
· Assist in the creation of documents and presentations to municipalities, potential funders, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
· Experience: 1-4 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
· Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Proficiency in financial modeling and working with large datasets.
o Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly.
o Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
