Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Director to lead Mi Casa Child Center in providing exceptional early childhood education. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader who can create an enriching environment that supports children's development while building strong relationships with families and staff. This role requires someone who understands early childhood development, excels in program administration, and can maintain high-quality standards while fostering a warm, inclusive community.
Primary Duties
- Provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of the child center's operations, including curriculum development, staff supervision, and quality assurance
- Create and maintain a welcoming, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment that supports our play-based and child-led philosophy
- Recruit, mentor, and retain qualified teaching staff while promoting their professional development and maintaining appropriate staff-to-child ratios
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with families through regular communication, parent education opportunities, and family engagement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all state licensing requirements, health and safety regulations, and quality standards for early childhood education
- Manage the center's budget, including enrollment management, tuition collection, payroll, and resource allocation
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that support the center's mission and promote optimal outcomes for children
- Lead the center's continuous quality improvement efforts through regular program evaluation and implementation of best practices
Required Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of state licensing requirements and quality rating systems
- Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and current early childhood education research
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, budget management, and program administration
Preferred Qualifications not required
- Director's Credential or equivalent state certification
