Mi Escuela Montessori is currently seeking a part-time After School Instructor responsible for providing homework support and developing and teaching enrichment activities (STEM, literacy, sports, arts, music) to children in prekindergarten through sixth grade in the after school programs. Work schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 2 : 30PM to 5 : 30 PM, with occasional opportunities for additional school day hours.

Requirements :
The ideal candidate will be an experienced child care provider or educator who is passionate about fostering academic skills and promoting positive youth development through social-emotional learning.
Job Requirements :
- Completion of the DCF 45-hours Child Care Training Requirement or willingness to complete within 60 days of employment
- Teaching experience preferred
- Bilingual / Spanish speaking preferred
- Willingness to be flexible and work within a team
- Ability to work with children of multi-cultural backgrounds and with diverse learning needs
- Excellent research, training, communication and organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to participate in ongoing professional development activities in order to keep current on new developments in the field and to enhance skills already maintained
