THE ORGANIZATION: Mi Familia Vota (MFV), the Latinx-led organization with the largest field operation in the nation, uses a holistic approach to build political power. We are in eight strategic states: AZ, CA, CO, GA, FL, NV, NC, and TX. We engage our community around the most prevalent issues to ensure the construction of a healthy democracy and advance a national Latino-progressive agenda. MFV utilizes a variety of strategies to reach our community, including citizenship, door-to-door voter education, registration and mobilization, issue organizing, leadership development, advocacy, accountability campaigns, and litigation.
SUMMARY: Canvassers are trained individuals in our community, engaging our target audience to increase Latinos’ voter engagement and voter registration. This is a seasonal part-time position due to campaign and electoral deadlines.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Canvasses Latino communities for voter registration, education, and mobilization efforts. Identifies likely voters for the upcoming elections.

Engages community members and voters around voter registration, voter education, Vote by Mail, and Get Out The Vote (GOTV). Increases Latino voter turnout through Get Out The Vote tactics.

Follow all required reporting procedures and utilize appropriate voter databases.

Follows all established safety and security protocols. Escalates any concerns to Canvas Lead.

Provide daily reporting to their assigned Canvass Lead.

Attend all training as directed by their supervisor.

Adheres to all state laws and regulations regarding voter registration and voter engagement efforts.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a registered voter or eligible to register to vote

Passion and enthusiasm for promoting political engagement within the Latino community.

Legible handwriting is required.

Must be able to work flexible hours of up to 30 hours per week. Some Saturday event participation is required.

Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various
backgrounds.

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle, preferred
