What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Maintenance Technician position at Mi-Jack Products, Inc.?
Essential Functions:
- Troubleshoots to diagnose problems; repairs and performs routine preventative maintenance on equipment
- Modifies and tests equipment to improve systems uptime and reliability
- Assists in maintaining a clean work environment
- Maintains and updates all process documentation
- Updates and reviews daily maintenance logs
- Undertakes actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc. on equipment for preventive maintenance purposes
- Troubleshoots and repairs various mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment and systems involving the isolation of the malfunction parts, disassembly of equipment and repair/replacement of faulty components
- Looks into service requests for repairs and maintenance to determine nature of problem and recommend appropriate solutions
- Safely operates forklifts, man-lifts, and equipment, adhering to safety standards
- Ensure compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures for a goal of zero incidents ad injuries.
- Maintain ongoing communication and adhere to all Company policies to eliminate and or reduce exposure to liability.

Experience/Training/Education:
Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Desired: Experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Basic knowledge of computer systems is needed to write reports and use Microsoft Office. High level of organization skills and strong critical thinking ability. Maintenance technicians must possess basic knowledge of electricity and electrical components; basic computer knowledge, ability to read blueprints and schematics, demonstrate the knowledge and ability to employ safe work practices.
Physical and Environmental Elements:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The final compensation offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, and location.
