Job Title : Environmental Coordinator
Reports to : Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Director
Location : Corporate office; Oldsmar, Florida
Job Summary :
MI Metals is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to support and ensure compliance with environmental regulations while occasionally assisting with safety-related concerns. This role will work under the direct supervision of the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Director to develop expertise in both environmental and safety compliance. The ideal candidate is a motivated professional who is eager to grow into the Environmental Health & Safety Director position within 3-4 years.
This position requires 25-35% travel to MI Metals’ facilities and external regulatory meetings.
Key Responsibilities :
Environmental Management :
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Maintain and manage environmental permits, including reporting and renewal processes.
- Monitor air, water, and waste management practices to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
- Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections, recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Support ISO 14001 Environmental Management Certification and Maintenance activities at each MI Metals location.
- Develop and implement environmental training programs for employees.
- Assist in managing hazardous waste disposal and stormwater compliance programs.
