Maintenance Technician Job Description
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at MI Metals Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe maintenance, repair, and replacement of plant equipment and systems to maximize production, quantity, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.
- Provide emergency repairs during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs.
- Assist with simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Exercise mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report unusual situations to supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Maintenance Technician in industrial settings.
- Industrial Hydraulic experience.
- General Industrial electrical experience.
- Experience with PLC's is an asset.
