What a Cook will need: Preferred: High school diploma or GED Serve Safe Certified or obtain Certification within 6 months of hire One year restaurant/institution cooking, one year of retail store cashiering or 1 year as Trinity Health FANS colleague. Preferred: Previous large volume cooking experience and line cooking/formal culinary training What a Cook will do: Responsible for opening and closing the department and maintaining departmental security. Responsible for the financial management of the department. Follows standardized recipes and HACCP guidelines to ensure proper preparation of food items, meeting food safety and sanitation guidelines. Provides input on changing and developing menus and recipes to enhance customer satisfaction. May be responsible for menu development. Prepares meals using batch, large quantity, and short order types of cooking. Ability to adjust recipes to meet desired yield needs.
