Position Summary: Contributes to the care of the patient by developing pharmacotherapeutic regimens and counseling utilizing pharmacology, pathophysiology, pharmacokinetics, and interpersonal communication skills. Provide clinical pharmacy and drug information services to serve hospital staff and collaborate with physicians. Engages in quality improvement and professional growth to meet hospital, departmental, and personal goals. Compound, package, and dispense medications and IV solutions and preparations as ordered. Assist in the supervision of pharmacy technicians and interns in the operations of the pharmacy. What the Inpatient Pharmacist will need: BS degree in Pharmacy. Licensed to practice in the State of Michigan. Advanced degrees (i.e., Doctorate of Pharmacy) and residency training preferred. Demonstrated commitment to hospital pharmacy practice, as demonstrated by recent (within 5 years) employment in hospital practice or advanced clinical pharmacy work.
