Employment Type: Part time Shift: Description: POSITION PURPOSE The Coordinator, Patient Relations Provides oversight & support of the workflow & functions in accordance with level of experience, education & standards. Assumes an expanded role & increased responsibility including delegating to others. Participates in the development of & the process improvement of policies & procedures. Works closely with leadership to maintain efficient & effective operations to ensure quality in daily operations. May partner with leadership with the selection, orientation & performance feedback of the team. Works cooperatively to ensure that key customer needs are being met & achievement of operational & performance goals. This position is a Part-Time benefited position scheduled 40 hours per bi-weekly pay period. On-site position located at Trinity Health Ann Arbor. WHAT YOU WILL DO Statewide responsibility serving all ministries. Supports the development, education, implementation, evaluation, and accountability of the organizational Experience of Care program to achieve the organization’s people-centered goals. Facilitates the intake, investigation, response and tracking of complaints, grievances, and service concerns. Develops and provides education regarding patient relations, service recovery, best practices, grievance resolution and CMS regulatory requirements. Provides coaching to physicians, residents, students and staff on appropriate behaviors, conflict resolution tactics, responses, and skills to promote positive perceptions. MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent education and experience. Two (2) years' experience in acute health care delivery, including interaction with medical staff and hospital leadership. Preferred Qualifications: Previous leadership experience; proven work experience in patient advocacy, customer service, program or project management, and continuous improvement.
