Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Position Summary: The Cardiac Sonographer conducts both routine and specialized cardiac ultrasound examinations. Utilizing advanced diagnostic medical ultrasound and related technologies, the echocardiographer expertly acquires and analyzes data, delivering essential calculations and information for medical staff interpretation. What the Cardiac Sonographer will work: Full-time, 36 hours per week 4 shifts, 9 hours | 7am - 4:30 pm Occasional on-call and weekend shifts What the Cardiac Sonographer will do: Echocardiography Procedures Perform routine and specialized echocardiograms (M-mode, 2D, 3D, Color/Spectral Doppler). Conduct graded exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiograms. Assist with Transesophageal Echocardiograms and optimize echocardiographic images. Equipment Management Operate, maintain, and optimize ultrasound and related equipment. Transport ultrasound equipment to various patient units. Patient Assessment and Data Analysis Review patient charts and conduct assessments for symptom-focused procedures. Acquire and analyze data to prepare worksheets for medical staff. Education and Quality Assurance Educate patients, families, nurses, and physicians regarding procedures. Participate in departmental quality assurance and clinical competency processes. What the Cardiac Sonographer will need: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or ability to attain credentials within 1 year of hire. Graduate of a two-year program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs (CAAHEP). Preferred: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited CAAHEP program Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Certification or re-certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire. Preferred: 1 year of ultrasound experience. Highlights: Day 1 benefits, no waiting period!
