Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Description: Hours | Schedule: Part-time, 24 hours/ week Position Summary: The Exercise Physiologist provides exercise leadership for Cardiac Rehab Phase II, III and IV. This role assesses and designs exercise prescriptions for persons with cardiac disease, or high-risk individuals and works with a multidisciplinary team to assess and modify coronary artery disease and other risk factors through education and exercise. What the Exercise Physiologist will do: Designs, implements and evaluates exercise prescriptions and referrals. Educates patients independently and in collaboration with the registered nurse. Develops, implements and evaluates programs to promote cardiovascular disease recognition and treatment. Ensures appropriate compensation for services provided via appropriate pre-approval and billing processes. Responsible for cleaning equipment and equipment repair notification. What the Exercise Physiologist will need: Bachelor’s degree in health science Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification ACSM Exercise Specialist certification, or ACSM eligible High level of expertise leading Phase II and Phase III exercise programs.
