Employment Type: Full time Shift: Weekend Shift Description: Performs a wide variety of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) examinations to produce high quality diagnostic images. What the MRI Technologist Will Do: Utilizes MRI equipment to perform a variety of examinations. Properly positions patients. Administers specific medications as directed by the Radiologist or other physician. Assists Radiologist in performing routine and/or special procedures. Assesses patient’s condition to determine appropriate procedure and technique. Provides instruction to x-ray students. Explains exam and procedures and acquires patient history. Monitors safety and comfort of patient. What the MRI Technologist Will Need: Completion of American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) approved Radiologic Technology Program, or an MRI specific curriculum. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification, or board eligible within 6 months of hire. Must be ARRT(MR) certified within 2 years of hire. Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire. Two years of experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist. Preferred: One year of experience as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist.
