If interested in 1st shift, must be able to work as early as 4 am. Most of our positions are four hour shifts so must be willing to work four hour shifts M-F and every third weekend. Availability to train 1st shift M-F, full time hours for 2 weeks Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required 50% of the work is done on a computer- orders, registration, data entry, etc. Ability to type 40 words per minute. ASCP certification for Phlebotomy (must obtain certification within one year of hire) preferred. Phlebotomist/Registration: Working in a single assigned work area, provides specimen collection, registration and processing services to patients in the main hospital, outpatient lab draw stations, and mental health and skilled nursing facilities at off-site locations and clinics. High volume work, 50% of duties involve computer utilization with targets to meet. Provides clerical support to the Pathology Department and other duties as assigned. Main Hospital Inpatient Phlebotomist At the main hospital servicing inpatients, processing and registration of samples received from physician offices for testing.
