Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Description: Performs technical procedures related to the treatment of patients with Cardiopulmonary disorders, including the assembly of equipment and administration of respiratory medications under the direct supervision of a Respiratory Therapist. Education Minimum High School diploma/GED a minimum Preferred: Current student in an accredited respiratory therapist program and/or College level courses Credentials/Licensure Minimum: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Related Experience Preferred: One year of patient care experience or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Minimum: Effective written and verbal communication skills and customer service skills. Basic knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain composure under stressful situations. Identify adverse response(s) to therapy and obtain necessary assistance. Use, clean, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment. Control and organize supply resources. Computer Competency Shows how to use (through a competency assessment) a standard desktop and windows based computer system, including a basic understanding of email, e-learning, intranet and computer navigation. Ability to use other software as required to perform the essential functions of the job.
