What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laser Operator - 2nd Shift position at Mi-T-M Corporation?
Description: Applicants for this position will tend the laser fabricating equipment. Operators will position material manually and use a fork truck. They must observe machine operations to detect workpiece defects or malfunctions. Will remove burrs, sharp edges, etc. using file, hand grinder or wire brush.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Have experience in the use of calipers, micrometers, height gauges and protractors. Must have strong attention to detail, the ability to take direction, ask appropriate questions, complete tasks independently.
- Department/Location: Fabrication - Machining Center
- Hours: Monday through Thursday (3:00 pm - 1:15 am) with overtime as necessary

Minimum Qualifications for this Position:
- Proven dependability and strong attendance record.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for the majority of the work shift
- Willingness to learn new tasks and skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Fork truck certification will be required within the first week of acceptance
