Employment Type: Full time Shift: Description: ONSITE - Medical Records Specialist Position Purpose: The Medical Records Specialist ensures that the PACE Organization’s medical records system (both electronic and hard copy) is maintained in compliance with regulatory guidelines and organizational policies. This role is essential in supporting a smooth, efficient operation of clinical documentation management. What You Will Do: Manage and maintain the medical records system in compliance with state, federal, and corporate regulations. Organize and ensure medical records are easily accessible for staff and providers, both electronically and in paper format. Respond to medical record requests from various departments, including Enrollment, PACE PCPs, and Finance. Assist in training staff on medical record processes and provide guidance on compliance and best practices. Ensure confidentiality of all medical records and track all requests made for records. Support with additional projects as needed, contributing to the overall success of the team. Minimal Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. At least 1-2 years of experience in medical records management. 1 year of experience working with elderly or frail populations. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
