About the Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in enhancing our marine propeller production processes. You will focus on CNC programming, robotic automation, and process optimization to improve efficiency and quality in our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
? Develop and optimize CNC machining programs for propeller, strut, and rudder manufacturing using Siemens NX
? Program and maintain robotic systems for automated propeller polishing and robotic mold milling in a foundry environment
? Create and maintain 3D models and technical drawings for manufacturing fixtures and marine components
? Design and implement efficient manufacturing processes that ensure high-quality production
? Troubleshoot machining, robotics, and quality control issues to improve workflow
? Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and SOPs
? Work closely with quality control teams to ensure compliance with marine industry standards
? Analyze manufacturing data to identify opportunities for process improvement
? Train and support machine operators and technicians on new equipment and processes
? Manage engineering change orders and subcontractors for additional machining resources
? Support foundry operations, including pattern design and development
? Develop and support 3D printing of patterns for manufacturing
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in marine components
Expertise in CAD/CAM software (especially Siemens NX)
Strong CNC machining and G-code programming skills (Fanuc & Heidenhain controllers)
Industrial robotics programming experience (FANUC, ABB, KUKA)
Knowledge of quality control systems and measuring equipment
Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points!)
? Experience in marine propulsion systems
? Knowledge of:
3D Modeling & CAD/CAM Software - Siemens NX, AutoCAD, Mastercam, or similar
Robotics Programming - FANUC Robotics, ABB, Robotmaster, or similar
ERP/MRP Systems - Experience with manufacturing resource planning
Microsoft Office Suite
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Work split between office and shop floor
PPE required in manufacturing spaces (safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes)
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Exposure to typical machine shop conditions (noise, metal particles, etc.)
