Summary
Pay Range : $92,000 - $115,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications
MITER Brands is a residential window and door manufacturer that provides a leading portfolio of window and door brands for the new construction and replacement segments. MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors and PGTI is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country.
We are looking for a Quality Manager for our Tualatin, OR location.
The Quality Manager is directly responsible for the overall management of the Quality Department. This includes overseeing activities such as inspection, data collection, process improvement, and maintaining / establishing quality standards. The role has responsibility for all department team members; ensuring proper safety, orientation, training, development, compensation and working conditions are present. The Quality Manager must collaborate with all other departments and work cooperatively to solve problems and yield improvements.
Responsibilities
- Directly supervise team members in the Quality DepartmentInterviewing, hiring, and training team membersPlanning, assigning, and directing workRewarding and disciplining team membersAddressing complaints and resolving problemsPromoting Miter Guiding Principles
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures related to all facets of the job.
- Work with location staff to identify / correct problems with manufacturing quality.
- Continuously improve processes and systems to prevent quality related defects.
- Responsible for the compilation and reporting of quality control check findings.
- Responsible for daily quality checks / inspections anywhere on the floor.
- Develops / revises standard operating procedures for quality related items.
- Evaluate department personnel performance and provide developmental feedback.
- Develop and manage the department's annual budget.
- Develop and improve the department's investigative, data collection, and reporting capabilities.
- Ensure required testing is performed for maintenance of AAMA certification.
- Ensure incoming material is inspected and conforms to standards.
- Ensure systems are in place for identifying, reporting, and processing of non-conforming materials and products.
- Communicate with outside vendors and customers on quality concerns.
- Provide training and investigations to internal and external customers.
- Prepare and conduct training and informational presentations and documents.
- Participates in the Leadership Development Program (LDP) for the location.
- Responsible for developing people, improving processes, and reducing costs.
- Adhere to the Miter Guiding Principles to ensure satisfaction and success for the network we serve.
