Summary
MITER Brands is a residential window and door manufacturer that provides a leading portfolio of window and door brands for the new construction and replacement segments. MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors and PGTI is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country.
Responsibilities
- The Staff Accountant will perform accounting and financial processes related to the preparation and maintenance of financial records, the audit of financial transactions and the production of reports.
- The position will also assist with corporate accounting functions including fixed asset accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, accounting research, financial reporting, audits and tax compliance, conducting financial analyses of operational processes / expenses, and assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- A sample of some of the key duties and responsibilities would include performing GL accounting and month-end accounting, including journal entries and analysis worksheets, Fixed Asset accounting including CIP and process documentation, reconciliations, and generation of year-end audit and tax schedules.
