Job description
The Dishwasher position is responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment, dishes, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
Essential Functions

Operates and maintains the dishwashing machine so that clean supplies are readily available for service. (including but not limited to)
1. Washing dishes, utensils, glassware, and equipment
2. Scraping food from dirty dishes and washing them by hand or placing them in racks or on the conveyor to dishwashing machine.
3. Checking all dishes and utensils are clean and dry before they are put away.
4. Cleaning and draining the dishwasher machine, and confirm the arms are clean. (If busy, water must be changed every hour)
5. Informing supervisory personnel if the dish machine is not operating properly.
6. Learning the use of and proper use of cleaning chemicals and soaps.
Learns proper safety techniques for handling and recycling broke glasses and dishware
- Maintains the cleanliness of the restaurant, butcher room, and kitchen areas (including but not limited to)
1. Sweeping and mopping floors.
2. Steam cleaning or hosing out garbage cans.
3. Polishing of brass, silver, and stainless steel.
4. Wiping down walls and tiles.
5. Hosing down floor mats
6. Putting away dishes, glasses, pots, pans, trays, and utensils.
7. Sweeping and mopping floors
8. Emptying trash
9. Refilling and replenishing supplies
10. Polishing fixtures
11. Wiping doors.
- Helps collect and dispose of garbage
- Assists in the transferring of supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
Perform any other duties assigned by his/her manager.

A minimum of (1) year of experience in a hotel environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Highly responsible and reliable.
