Description:
This position is for a clinical pharmacist working with the MCI Business Office Team. (Reporting to Business Office Director and dotted line to Pharmacy Director) Position Goal: Collaborate with Business office and Pharmacy Leadership to bridge the gap between pharmacy and the BO with the goal of reducing pharmacy related denials. Reduce interruptions for pharmacy operations. This position involves working closely with clinical and revenue administrative team in a dynamic healthcare setting to facilitate timely and appropriate patient care while maintaining compliance with payer guidelines. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This pharmacist should possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, be proficient in use of electronic health record and financial software and have oncology pharmacy experience.
Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and Registered Pharmacist License required. 5 years of experience.
Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm. D) preferred. PGY1 and/or Board Certification of Pharmacy Specialty (BCOP or BCPS) preferred. If no residency training must have 5 years of practice experience in area of specialty required and Board Certification. If residency trained then PGY1= 3 years of experience and PGY2=2 additional years.
