Miami Children's Museum is looking for a new Assistant Site Coordinator to join their team!
Miami Children’s Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational institution, which meets the needs of all children in our multicultural community. The Museum offers interactive exhibits, programs and learning materials related to arts, culture and our community. Miami Children’s Museum encourages visitors of all ages to play, learn, imagine and create together.
The Assistant Site Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Afterschool Site Coordinator in the day-to-day responsibility for operations of the afterschool program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Monitors program activities, focusing on safety, developmental appropriateness, and educational effectiveness.
- Develops educational and recreational activities for the program.
- Observes, coaches, and provides feedback to instructional staff; participates in out-of-school staff trainings.
- Assists with behavior management challenges among instructional staff.
- Ensures timely completion and accuracy of student evaluations and data collection.
- Utilizes internal and external data to improve the program and student outcomes.
- Communicates with supervisors, parents, and staff to address issues related to students, classrooms, or the program.
- Maintains good rapport with site staff, school administration, families, and supervisors.
- Responsible for child recruitment, registration, and retention.
- Oversees curriculum fidelity and its implementation.
- Other duties as assigned.
