RN Phys Clinic PCC (Full Time, Day shift)

Job SummaryAssists physicians and office leadership with clinical and administrative duties. Supports clinical staff and assists with coordination of patient care to deliver high quality patient experience. Performs assigned nursing duties under the direction of physician.Minimum Job Requirements

• RN Licensure within the State of Florida or Multi-State Enhanced Nursing License Compact (eNLC) - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
• American Heart Association BLS must maintain active and in good standing throughout employmentKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• BSN Degree or currently enrolled in BSN program.
• Nursing experience in a Pediatric healthcare setting preferred.
• Career Development : National certified preferably within 5 years of hire.
• Knowledge in allergy treatment and management, such as allergy desensitization therapy.
• Experience in immunotherapy vial mixing procedures.
• Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and strong time management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel an PowerPoint.
• Able to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Able to apply principles of evidenced-based practice, analytical thinking, and service excellence in practice.
• Able to analyze and interpret data and utilize the information to make judgments regarding patient care.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) CertificationJob Specific Duties
• Communicates patient's progress including critical findings and changes in condition with the physician and / or disciplines involved in the care of the child.
• Completes all nursing assessments and patient admission history thoroughly / accurately as per policy including; spiritual needs, cultural, developmental, learning needs, and psychosocial needs.
• Plans, performs, and documents visit summary based on assessed patient needs.
• Delegates nursing care based on knowledge of staff qualifications and competency.
• Performs reassessments as per policy; when there is a change in the plan of care or when an intervention is performed.
• Plans, implements, and documents the plan of care in collaboration with other disciplines and services to assure safe and efficient care.
• Provides education and documents on patient / family teachings based on health related needs (i.e. disease, medications, treatments, pain, safety, nutrition, skin care etc.).
• Promotes a safe "error free" working environment by consistently performing thorough hand-offs (utilizing SBAR) and infection prevention measures.
• Ensures safe / effective / efficient care delivery with emphasis on absence of medication errors & blood borne infections, avoidance of falls from surface, ouch-free procedural pain, & reduction of pain.
• Demonstrates proper personal protective equipment (PPE) indication and use.
• Enters electronic orders for lab, x-ray and medication / prescriptions for provider review and approval in electronic medical record.
• Reviews medication / immunization orders. Prepares, administers, and documents medication administration according to policy.
• Process refills as directed by provider and written protocols.
